Sultan al-Bohra Dr Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin arrvies in Sharjah

Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, the leader of a worldwide Dawoodi Bohra community, has arrived in Sharjah. Community members and dignitaries are expected to meet him during his stay.
“We are in elevated spirits as Syedna visits our city. He last made a visit to Sharjah
exactly two years ago in February 2018. Various community organizations and
committees have been mobilized to host visitors and undertake a host of socio-
cultural programs during Syedna’s stay in the city,” said Dr. Mustafa Taher, local PR
Syedna Saifuddin is expected to inaugurate the newly expanded Masjid-al-Fatimeen-
al-Bohra in Al Manakh, Sharjah. This Masjid was first inaugurated by Syedna’s
father, the late Dr. Mohammed Burhanuddin in 2003.
Besides that, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin will also be presiding over various
community programs including a mass marriage ceremony known as Rasme-Saifee;
meet local community members and enquire after their well-being while blessing
them with his guidance and benedictions.
The Dawoodi Bohras are one of the major business expatriate communities in the
region. Known for their sharp eye in doing business, the Bohras first migrated to
Sharjah in the 1960s to work as traders in construction materials and allied industries
Today Sharjah is home to over 4,000 Dawoodi Bohras which in addition to numerous
businessmen and industrialists include a large number of professionals such as
doctors, lawyers, architects, engineers, accountants, and IT professionals working
within various sectors in the region.
